Arjun Sambasivan and Narayanan are distinguished as the first duo to perform Carnatic music on the keyboard, pioneering a unique blend of tradition and innovation. They embarked on their musical journey under the guidance of their father, S V Raman, initially learning foundational keyboard skills from Shri Korattur Sahasranamam. Their musical aspirations received a significant boost when they had the privilege of learning from the renowned Mandolin Maestro Padmashree Mandolin U Shrinivas, continuing until his untimely demise. For over a decade, they are under the advanced tutelage of the Chitravina Maestro Sangeet Samrat Chitravina N Ravikiran. 

Both Arjun Sambasivan and his younger brother Narayanan are graded artists of All India Radio -Their father played a pivotal role as one of the early advocates urging the Government of India to officially recognize the keyboard as a Carnatic instrument at AIR. Additionally, Narayanan’s accomplishment as one of the youngest musicians to achieve the A grade artist status is a testament to his exceptional musical abilities and dedication to his craft. They are known for their exceptional performances and have been honoured with numerous awards and accolades. In addition to their musical achievements, Arjun Sambasivan and Narayanan are also Chartered Accountants by profession. Beyond their professional careers, they are passionate educators, with a global student base benefiting from their teachings.
